Save edits and recover an unsaved draft

Use save status and recovery options when your connection fails or another tab changes a project.

The editor saves changes after a short pause. Wait for All changes saved before leaving or exporting. If you see an error or conflict, the latest edit may not be on the server yet; keep the tab open while you resolve it.

If saving fails

Check your connection and the displayed error, then retry saving. The private editor also keeps a browser recovery draft. Browser data can be cleared, so do not treat that copy as your only backup.

If another tab changes the project

A conflict stops this tab from overwriting a newer saved version. Choose Load latest version to continue from the server copy, Save a copy to keep your work in a separate project, or Download my unsaved draft before resolving the conflict. Check the copy you want to keep before closing the tab.

If you request a rewrite

An AI rewrite is a suggestion for one slide. It can be accepted only if the saved project version and that slide’s edit revision still match the request. If you edited while it ran, save your work and request a new suggestion. Other slides are not replaced.

If you use the local demo

Demo projects stay in this browser and are separate from your signed-in account. Clearing browser data removes them. The demo uses labeled sample text and does not call a live AI model.

Which version should I keep after a save conflict?

Keep the tab open until you have checked both versions. Download my unsaved draft preserves the current tab’s work; Save a copy keeps it as a separate project; Load latest version loads the server copy. Review the result and wait for All changes saved before exporting. A browser recovery draft can be cleared with browser data and is not a permanent backup.
