Create your first carousel

Add an article, text, or PDF, review the AI outline, then edit and download your slides.

Start with an article you own or have permission to reuse. CarouselDraft uses AI to draft an outline from a public article URL, pasted text, or a text-based PDF. You review the result before accepting it. Each project supports up to 12 slides in square (1:1) or portrait (4:5).

1. Add your source

Choose New project and select Article URL, Paste text, or Upload PDF. Add your source, choose the slide count, tone, and canvas size, then select Create outline. This uses one generation when it succeeds. Your source text stays separate from the AI draft.

2. Check the AI outline

Read the AI draft and choose Use this outline to accept it. Your slides will then show their linked original paragraphs or PDF page references. Compare the wording with those passages, check names and numbers, and edit the slide order before continuing to design.

3. Edit the slides

Choose a layout for each slide and adjust its title, body text, key points, and images. Apply your colors and font choice, then review the slides at a readable size. Wait for All changes saved before leaving the editor.

4. Export and download

Choose Export, review any warnings, and select PDF or PNG images (ZIP). A new export uses one export allowance. When it finishes, download the file and check every page. You upload or share the finished files yourself.

Choose your first export format

For a LinkedIn document post, export PDF. For an Instagram image carousel, export PNG images (ZIP), extract the ZIP, and select the individual images. Review the actual files before posting. PDF and PNG are separate exports, so creating both uses two export allowances.
